The Active Anti-Friction™ system drastically reduces the air resist- ance of a body surface or an engine outlet/nozzle. Because the drag heats them up destructively, the thermal load is increased in this way. It also opens the possibilities to apply further progressive tech- nologies that otherwise cannot be realized.

Technology
The Active Anti-Friction™ system applies Plasma Anti-Friction (PAF) generators that create plasmoids by the application of:

• lasers and
• high-frequency radiation.

Integration
The Active Anti-Friction™ system can be integrated with the Active Thermal Protection™ system. Furthermore, basic modules can be used in conjunction with the Active Aerodynamics™ system.
