The ? with its general concept, specific elements, and exterior style is a hommage to the aircraft pioneers who choose the question mark as visual motif on their innovative planes used for their outstanding achievements in aviation and beyond:

On the 1st of January in the year 1929, "a tri-engined Fokker C-2 aircraft with a crew of five climbed into the southern California sky. This aircraft, dubbed the "Question Mark," was not history's first air refueling mission, but it played a crucial role in the beginning of air refueling efforts and the development of the U.S. Army Air Corps.", [Ellery D. Wallwork, Air Mobility Command History Office, 2008].

Bréguet used duralumin instead of steel or wood for the construction of its aircrafts, which made them faster than other military aircrafts of its time, leading to historic world-record settings and sporting successes as well, and became the characteristic trademark of the corporation.

Dieudonné Costes' and Maurice Bellonte's world-famous Bréguet XIX GR Super Bidon called "Point d'Interrogation", painted in red with a silver engine hull, is the first airplane that made a non-stop trip form Paris to New York and then further to Dallas in the year 1930 with- out refuelling.
