The Counter-Rotating Flywheel Energy Storage is the combination of two flywheel energy storages with one flywheel/rotor each or one flywheel energy storage with two counter-spinning flywheels/rotors, so that their angular momentums are eliminated, which is especially advantageous compared to the application of a standard flywheel in vehicles like automobiles, autocopters, and spinners. But the con- cept offers more advantages, like for example the construction of our 3D Flywheel Energy Storage (3DFES) that works without a gimb- al mounting.

Der gegenläufige drehende Schwungradspeicher ist die Kombination von zwei Schwungradspeichern mit jeweils einem Rotor oder einem Schwungradspeicher mit zwei gegensinnig drehenden Rotoren, so- dass ihre Drehimpulse eleminiert werden, was besonders Vorteilhaft gegenüber dem Einsatz von einem normalen Schwungradspeicher in Fahrzeugen ist, wie z. B. Automobilen, Autokoptern und Spinnern. Aber das Konzept bietet noch mehr Vorteile, wie etwa die Konstuk- tion unseres 3D-Schwungradspeichers, der ohne Kardanaufhängung funktioniert.
