The enhanced up! R by us from Style of Speed is the worldwide first Tricharger, that is a VW TSI® engine with turbocharger, Roots-Compressor, and Stroetmann-Compressor of the model up! by VW. This Tricharger-engine would have between 120 to 190 PS, and comes in different versions for diesel, bioethanol, biogas, and classic fuels.
How it works: It's well known in technical circles, that an aggregate gets roughly 33% to 40% of its power into motion energy. One part of the combustion-energy is lost by going out through the cooling system, and another part is lost in the power train. The Stroetmann-Compressor is fundamentally seen a Stirling-Engine, that transforms the waste heat of an engine directly in mechanical or in electrical energy. By this way gained energy is than used for powering mech- anical or alternatively electrical driven compressors, which boost the performance of the aggregate.
Besides this, if our technology is used in conjunction with a Looped Combined Combustion Engine (LCCE), then the result is the most efficient reciprocating engine available worldwide.
