Distributed Computing

The distributed computing architecture belongs to the essential features of our also real-time capable operating system platforms OntoLix and OntoLinux right from their start in the year 2006.

Feature-List
The most important points of the feature-list in the context of automotive computing are:

  • wireles network awareness with improved connection tools and detections,
  • adaptive processing for reflecting the network quality and device capability,
  • user centric migration of applications and data from one computing machine to another, even from a personal computer to a cell phone or an automotive media center, and from an on-board computer to a carputer, between computing machines of the same type, and so on, as well as vice versa,
  • personal World Wide Web-based infrastructure, network, and virtual drive, that supports the
    • user centric migration Max-Mig,
    • synchronization of applications and data Max-Sync, and
    • communication Max-Com,

    better known as AutoCloud computing,

  • proactive user support, that predicts the future by utilizing autonomous Intelligent Personalizable Agent (IPA) systems and Active Components,
  • Multimodal Multimedia User Interface (M²UI),
  • Multilinugal Multimodal Multimedia User Interface (M³UI),
  • integration of our MultiGPS with Enhanced Global Positioning Syst- em (E-GPS) based on the Internet Protocol (IP) with IPNav (based on Galileo), IPGPS (based on Global Positioning System (GPS)), and IPGNS (based on GLObal NAvigation Satellite System (GLONASS)) as basis for our (pro)Active Positioning System (APS)
  • integration of Web 2.0 content like maps, specifically our MapCloud, AutoMapCloud, and also RobotCloud computing solutions,
  • intelligent navigation system IQNav that brings together our basic positioning and navigation systems with our map services by utilizing our Intelligent Personal Agent/Assistant (IPA) systems,
    as well as
  • extending AutoSemantic::Car package and
  • integration of mobile devices with multi-touchscreen like our AutoSmartphone, AutoTablet, and AutoPad (see the images).
