The SOS Cayman C4, C6, and C8 are not appealing to the emotions only, but also set them free. Based on our modularized chassis of the models Boxster and Cayman, and further components by the marque Porsche and out of the stock of the manufacturer Volkswagen, as well as of our model Cayman GT for example, the Cayman Cx series features the classic design of roadsters with the characteristic air intake in front and above the rear wheels interpreted in a new way.
Drivetrains
For the drivetrain in the rear-wheel drive configuration we can offer four engines:
Volkswagen
- R4 16 valve with 1.8 and 2.0-liter, and
- VR6 24 valve with 3.2-liter 15° and 3.6-liter 10.6°,
Subaru
- F4 16 valve with 2.0 and 2.5-liter,
and
Volkswagen→Porsche
- F6 24 valve with 2.7, 3.4, and 3.8-liter.
Depending on the engine several transmissions are given as choice:
for all engines
for the R4
- 6-speed Direct-Shift Gearbox (DSG) with dual-clutch,
for the VR6
- 7-speed Direct-Shift Gearbox (DSG) with dual-clutch,
for the F4
- 6-speed automatic gearbox,
for the F6
- 7-speed semi-automatic Porsche DoppelKupplungsgetriebe (PDK)==dual-clutch transmission.
The automatic and dual clutch gearboxes offer a manual shift mode, and paddle shifters and switch shifters.

Further Informations
Further versions with the the Audi V8 engine in the longitudinal, and rear-wheel and all-wheel drive configurations based on the Cayman GT with a slightly longer wheelbase and rear section as the model C4 are only available on the special request of the customer.
