We have created our model RA as a demonstration of our High-tech Competence and as a documentation of the true history of the electrified quattro® drivetrain. Our RA is based on the show car quattro concept, which again is based on the platform of the Audi RS5 that was shortened by 150 mm and chopped by 40 mm. While the front follows the design of the quattro concept, our RA has the rear of the RS5 that we integrated in an intelligent way, so that we could reuse as much as possible, like for example the basic mechan- ism and the control of the rear spoiler.
Additionally, we added many of our Active Components, like e.g. our Active Wing that combines the rear wing of the quattro® concept with the before mentioned original basic rear spoiler mechanism of the RS5, so that it can be adjusted while driving, and has even the function of an air break instead of the standard extend and retract function.
Electric quattro Mobility
The RA is set in motion by our Purely Electric or our Looped Fuel Cell Electric :Drivetrain together with 4 of our electric Active Motors as part of our invention of the Electric Torque Vectoring Active Differential. With this Electric Torque Vectoring System, that was shown the first two times with our Electric Super Sports Cars RE and Elettoro we created the true e-quattro®© of the 21st century.
E-quattro Competence
Our worldwide unique High-tech and High-Speed Competences in the field of drivetrains has been proven twice by setting the electric road car lap record on the Nurburgring Northern Loop==Nordschleife, the last time with our RE built up by the factory in 2012 in the two electric motors version at the rear axle based on our Pure Electric Torque Vectoring Active Differential #2 with its Electronic Stabili- ty Control (ESC) system and a high-perfomance Brake Energy Re- covery System (BERS).
